| Hello everyone! First of all, thanks to everyone for posting so much great information. I have been researching indiamike for a few months now and it has been really helpful. I am planning our first trip to India for this October-November. My husband and I are in our early 30s, fairly adventurous travelers, but with limited time, we usually find local travel agencies to help us arrange tours and itineraries. We planned this trip to coincide with the Pushkar Camel Fair. Our other must-sees include Varanasi and Ranthambore (hopefully we'll be lucky enough to see a tiger or two). This is what I have worked out so far. We are flying to Varanasi to start the trip and flying back from Jodhpur...all to maximize the time we spend actual seeing things, rather than driving. We feel that it is worth the extra cost, since I'm not sure when we'll be going back. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, especially on the timing of the trip. Are we spending too long or too short anywhere? Oct 27 - arrive Delhi in the afternoon Oct 28 - Delhi Oct 29 - fly to Varanasi (probably afternoon flight) Oct 30 - Varanasi Oct 31 - Varanasi then overnight train to Agra Nov 1 - Agra arrive early morning, private driver and car to pick us up Nov 2 - after morning at Taj, drive to Jaipur Nov 3 - Jaipur Nov 4 - drive to Ranthambore Nov 5 - Ranthambore Nov 6 - drive to Pushkar Nov 7 - Pushkar Nov 8 - Pushkar Nov 9 - drive to Udaipur Nov 10 - Udaipur Nov 11 - drive to Jodhpur Nov 11 - Jodhpur Nov 12 - drive to Jaisalmer Nov 13 - Jaisalamer Nov 14 - drive back to Jodhpur to catch 17:20 flight back to Delhi Nov 15 - morning leave Delhi I have emailed several recommended tour operators to give me quotes on this itinerary. Namaste India Tours has come up with the most reasonably priced itinerary, of course! I am also wondering if anyone has stayed at the Ranthambore Bagh before? The website looks really fantastic, but I have read mixed reviews. Thanks so much for all your help!!:D vancouvergirl Affordable with Great Features - China Mobiles & Gadgets- Buy Here.
