 sim card - What's the latest situation? We arrive in Mumbai, by air, in October. We want mobile phone service. We own a suitable unlocked (no sim locks) triband gsm phone; totally compatible with all Indian gsm carriers (Airtel etc). Can we buy a sim card in Mumbai? What documentation will we need? I've heard it is impossible for foreigners to buy sim cards now, because of enhanced security. I've searched the forums, but find very equivocal answers only. Does anyone actually know what the story is? We'd really appreciate recent experience in doing just this! If it's not possible; we need to know!
