How do we go from Udaipur to Diu?

SIZE="2"]Thank you, thank you, thank you to this wonderful site! It is giving us GREAT information and ideas about India and our trip. It is also a relief to have found a place where we can ask questions of find answers to many, many doubts that we can't find in guides.

Anyway, we (my husband and I) will be going to India over the summer (mid June to beginning August). Yes, it will be very hot and very humid but we are trying to be optimistic about it :p

We will be spending 2 days in Udaipur (a day trip to either Ranakpur or Chittorgarh) and want to go to Diu next. Can anybody help us with timetables and stuff so we can better plan this? I have found information in other threads but they seem a little bit old and I don't know if they are updated. I guess we'll have to go to Ahmedabad and continue from there... ????

Bus, train... it doesn't matter. Also, 24 hours trip are Okay if there are toilets in the transportation (I'm scared to be sick and having a hard time in between... We've done these kind of long trips in Mexico, Peru and Japan but don't know how the conditions of buses will be).
