So I saw that there is both a favorite Indian movie as well Darjeeling Limited thread, but wanted to start a new one for this question. Here goes.
I'm leaving for India in two weeks, and as part of getting ready, recently went to Chicago, Travisa Office, to obtain my visa. Afterwards, I went to Devon Street, which is I guess a "Little India" outside of the city. Went into a video store, and was confronted by a hilarious owner. I told him one of my favorite Indian directors is from Bengal, Satyajit, and asked what dvd's of his he had in stock. And I ended with picking up a copy of
Parash Pathar, since it has Ravi Shankar leading the music. So far, I love the music, and have also heard music from Ray's movies in The Darjeeling Limited.
Where can I find more music like this? Is it just a movie thing?
